Phattest Loser
posted by Dan on April 29th, 2009
Our good friend dUST who runs PhatMass.com and is Popple’s official DJ just posted this video about the upcoming Phattest Loser weight loss competition. The goal of the Phattest Loser is to see who can become more Christ like in physique… at least that’s how I understand it. dUST is one funny man with a great beard.
Boston and Central America

As Dan finishes up a mission in the mountains of Vermont, I am packing for 2.5 weeks in Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Dan will scope out Boston and I will check out some missions and work on my Spanish.
My route will probably look nothing like this:

So, that is what we are up to. What are you doing?
Next stop, Utah
posted by Kyle on April 18th, 2009
Tomorrow we fly to Utah for a youth rally. With Holy Week and Easter weekend off, it seems like it has been a long vacation. Looking forward to play the uke and hang out with some youth again.
Here is a picture of us dancing with Paul, the Emcee and Performer at Catholic Underground LA. He did a great Jackson 5 and we couldn’t help but join him and dance.

Yeah, I can play that.

No. I can not play this, but Chris Thile formerly of one of my favorite groups, Nickel Creek, sure can. It’s a Bach Prelude in E major as performed on the mandolin. I listened to it more than a few times while writing out checks for taxes and the music kept me really relaxed and even happy about the whole activity. Enjoy.
Hair Cuts for Easter!
posted by Dan on April 14th, 2009
Kyle’s sister and I both have new haircuts, I thought you’d all enjoy. An old-man friend of mine at church told me I look more respectable now without my hair all crazy and out of control. In agreement I shook my fist in the air and said “my days of shenanigans and tom foolery are over!” (but they are not really).

My brother Cory just made this Easter video. Please enjoy and may your Easter be blessed.
Maundy Thursday
posted by Kyle on April 9th, 2009
Today is Maundy Thursday or Holy Thursday. We focus on 4 events today: The washing of the feet, the first Eucharist, the agony in the garden and the betrayal of Judas.

Let us remember to serve others, seek Jesus in the Eucharist, do the will of God and not turn our back on Him. Such a powerful day.
Remember, most parishes offer adoration after the Holy Thursday services. Let’s pray for one another.
A Song from the Lee Roessler band

We write songs. We have written songs for other people. Seldom do other people write songs for us. OK, never has anyone written a song about us. Until now!!
Lee Roessler of the Lee Roessler band wrote a song about Popple and it is muy good!
Listen to the goodness here: The Lee Roessler Popple Song (or right click and save link/target)
The song can also be found on our seldomly updated podcast:
He also gave me this cool shirt!

If you need a band and Popple isn’t available, check these guys out!
